Welcome to the School Younger Chef Awards, which your child/children’s school may be delivering this term.
The award covers the National Curriculum for ‘Cooking and Nutrition’, develops pupil’s chef skills, food hygiene and safety, nutrition, the benefits of the Mediterranean diet, blood sugar balance, staying hydrated and how to set the table.
To support pupils completing the challenge at home you’ll find below some recipe cards, which will also be discussed at school and may be set as home learning.
